Where Medicine
Meets Mercy

Comprehensive care that embraces every child not just as a patient, but as a precious life deserving dignity, love, and joy even in the midst of suffering.

Pediatric Oncology Ward

At Mary Johnston Hospital in Manila, the Pediatric Oncology Ward supported by Adonai's Mercy House has become a refuge for children and families walking through the storm of childhood cancer.

Every corner of this ward reflects our mission to bring hope where despair often lingers. Here, children from some of the poorest communities in the Philippines receive critical cancer treatment that would otherwise be far beyond their family's reach.

This ward is more than a place of medical care—it is a home of compassion. Each child is embraced not just as a patient but as a precious life. The ward is filled with the sounds of laughter from volunteers, the quiet prayers of chaplains, and the gentle encouragement of nurses and doctors who pour themselves into their work.

Jeffrey at Mary Johnston Hospital - Blood and Platelet Program

Blood & Platelet Program

We believe that every drop of blood represents life, strength, and hope. For children battling cancer, blood and platelet transfusions are not optional—they are essential for survival.

Chemotherapy and other treatments often weaken their bodies, leaving them vulnerable to dangerous infections and bleeding. Without transfusions, many of our young patients would not have the strength to continue their fight.

Through this program, we partner with generous donors, local organizations, and compassionate volunteers to ensure that these children receive the life-sustaining support they need. Each donation directly impacts a child's chance at recovery.

Medical & Mobility Care

The journey of a child battling cancer does not end at the hospital doors. Many of our young patients face lasting challenges that make daily life difficult without specialized equipment.

We provide children and their families with vital resources: wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, hospital beds, oxygen machines, and other essential medical devices. These tools are not luxuries—they are lifelines that restore dignity, mobility, and the ability to live with greater independence.

A wheelchair may give a child the freedom to attend school or play outside. An oxygen machine can literally provide the breath of life when it is most desperately needed.

Education and Family Support

Education & Family Support

We believe that early detection can save lives. We support families by providing access to screenings, information on recognizing early symptoms, and guidance on when to seek medical help.

Beyond medical knowledge, we extend our mission into the home by offering basic education and practical training for mothers—many of whom have had to sacrifice work and income to care for their child.

Through livelihood training programs, we help mothers learn new skills: crafting, sewing, food preparation, or small-scale business development that can provide sustainable income while they continue to support their child's recovery.

Christmas with Cancer

Christmas is more than a holiday—it is a season of hope, joy, and light in the midst of darkness for children battling cancer and their families.

We provide carefully chosen Christmas gifts that remind children they are loved, valued, and not alone in their fight. These presents bring smiles to faces often overshadowed by pain and hospital visits.

For the families, we extend the blessing further by providing traditional Noche Buena food packages, filled with the special dishes that make Christmas Eve in the Philippines such a cherished celebration.

Light shines brightest in the darkness, and every child deserves to experience joy and the warmth of community during this sacred season.

Where each flower tells a story

Capturing moments of joy

The Healing Garden itself serves as a living symbol of renewal, where each flower planted represents a story of faith and perseverance. Bloom with Grace reflects the heart of Adonai's Mercy House: to bring comfort, dignity, and hope to those who need it most, showing that with faith and compassion, even in the hardest places, life can bloom again.
